Bivy Stick Duty Cycle

Bivy Stick Duty Cycle

Mailbox Checks - Every 15 minutes the modem will wake up and do a mailbox check. It will try for 5 minutes and if it doesn't get the response, it will quit trying to save battery and then try again in 15 minutes (not 13) from that point. The timer is reset every time an action occurs. The time starts when the modem shuts off.
Text Messages - 15 minutes or until successful. Modem will stay on for 15 minutes to listen for incoming messages.
Location Messages - 15 minutes or until successful. Modem will shut off immediately after sending message.
SOS Messages - Every minute for the first 10 minutes, then every 10. Modem will stay on for 15 minutes to listen for incoming messages.
Check-in Messages - When you send a device check-in or check-in from the app, the modem will wake up and try to send it. It will try or 15 minutes and if it's not successful, then it will go to sleep for 15 minutes and then wake up and try again for another 15 minutes. If time for the next mailbox check occurs before the 15 minutes is up, then it will try at that point instead. If a new message is sent or signal strength is checked, then it will retry immediately.
Device Power On - When the device is trying to get a signal strength at startup, it will only try for 3 minutes and then quit to save power. When the device is powered on but asleep and the power button is pushed to wake up the modem, it will stay on for 3 minutes.
