Shout

Shout

Shout is like talking into a VHF radio where those who can hear you, hear you, and there is no guarantee that everyone you intend will get the message.  With Mesh, not only the devices within reach of yours will hear you, but also those within reach of any device in the mesh will hear you.  It’s also possible that Mesh devices in other groups will get your message so be careful when you Shout.

·      Click the Messages tab at the bottom of the Bivy app

·      At the top of the screen, you will see a conversation called Mesh Shout ( … ).  Click it.

·      Type a message and hit Send.  Any device that receives this message will send back a notice that it was received.

·      The bottom right of the message will say Sending… until at least one other device has confirmed receipt of the message.  Then it will say Sent(Abc) where Abc is the first 3 letter of the Mesh username that received it.

·      If other devices later receive and confirm receipt of the message, the 3 letters will be added to the Sent (Abc, Def) status.  Other receipt confirmations may be added even a few minutes later.  It’s also possible that other devices received the message even though their confirmation never got back to you.
