Why is my Location Wrong?

If you initiate a Check-In message or share your location in the Bivy app, it will use your phone's GPS location. To help ensure your location is reported accurately, please verify the following settings:

  1. Make sure Location Services are enabled on your phone.
  2. Confirm that the Bivy app has permission to access your location. You can check this by going to Settings > Apps > Bivy > Location on your phone. We recommend setting the permission to "Always" or "While Using the App."
  3. Avoid logging into the same Bivy account on multiple devices, as this can sometimes cause location inconsistencies.

If you initiate a Check-In message directly from the Bivy Stick by pressing the checkmark button, the location in the message will come from the Bivy Stick's GPS rather than your phone's.
