After your device has been activated through the Bivy App, we recommend testing it to ensure you are ready for your first adventure. To test your device, power it on and place it outside with a clear view of the sky then follow these steps:
Put your phone in Airplane mode
Open the Bivy App
Connect to your device
Click "Messages" from the bottom menu
Add a recipient's phone number
Type a message
Click send (the message will be sent via satellite from your Bivy number)
The status light on your Bivy Stick will start flashing yellow which indicates the message is trying to send. It will continue to flash yellow until the message sends
When the message is received by the recipient have them reply
* Sending messages from an Australian number to a US Bivy number is not supported so if most of the recipients you text are Australian/New Zealand numbers it will work best to choose a Bivy Australian number/plan when you activate your Bivy stick. ...
